Winding down...

Drew is, of course, having to find another job and is in the enviable position of having two possibilities staring him in the face. One is as a driver for UPS (not my first choice); the other is as a technician for the local phone company (better than being a driver... at least it sounds like a job with a future). I hope his upcoming interviews go well.

Today was another day at the computer, and I am pleased to find I've bagged a little more than 3200 words for the day, including one job that came in over the transom about 8 hours ago from a client that uses me only infrequently. I rode the bike to the store again, too (and again, a not unimportant objective of the trip was to print out a document), but this time with only one notch of gear shifted for the segment on highway 160.

I am yawning almost uninterruptedly. Time to hit the sack.

UPS drivers get paid pretty well, and seem to have great benefits, including lots of vacation time, but they're prone to damage from the soul-crushingness of the UPS corporate structure, which is pretty awful from my vantage.
