Lo-o-ong day...and it's not over yet...

There's two of us here in a corner of the MCC that was rebuilt to create a decent working environment for simultaneous interpretation, and we've been here for nearly eleven and a half hours. One more hour to go overall, and about 8 minutes until I'm back up as the primary interpreter.
The long day was driven by the undocking of the old Soyuz with Talgat Musabaev, Yuri Bukharin, and Dennis Tito, which occurred just a little while ago. The video feed relayed to the MCC was beautifully framed as the Soyuz backed away from the station.
Tomorrow's work starts late enough to get some sleep tonight, and lasts only 6 hours, so it'll almost be almost like getting a day off (short day).
Cheers...
