Preferring to consider the glass half full, I am happy that Natalie could come visit for the past few days. (Traveling home on Christmas Day also has its benfits, as in: there was virtually no traffic to deal with while taking Natalie to the airport!)

This year, the house lacks the trappings of the season, but I like to think our hearts do not. Next year, I plan to return to the Chistmases of my youth. I am grateful to be alive, and would like to convey best wishes and thanks to those in the armed services who are not at home with loved ones at this time of year.
