Something, someone, or maybe even I managed on Sunday morning to delete the Windows entry from the grub startup screen on my old VAIO. Frankly, I don't remember editing the file, which is troubling, and not in the sense of having a premature senior moment: if I didn't edit the file, who did? Restoring the entry ought not be too much of a problem, but it's still a pain. (Was I trying to move the associated lines from the end to the beginning of the list?)
In more Amazon news, it occurs to me I have no other DRMed Windows Media content, so I went ahead and told the installer to try to fix the problem, which it apparently did successfully.
Now to find out if it works at all.
Cheers...
UPDATE: Success is, I suppose, a relative term. The "problem" might be fixed, but the farblegargling software doesn't work. Feh.
