Coping strategy #3...

Consistency is a valuable trait.
There are words out there that change meaning depending on... well,... several factors. Fortunately, they are rare enough to not negate the general coping strategy of always translating the same word the same way, which makes your life easier should you decide, at some subsequent point, that the translationis wrong can be improved (i.e., you get to the point where you realize that, ceteris paribus, your consistency is foolish and creates nonsense), and more important, makes your editor's life easier should that worthy decide - for whatever reason - that your rendering must be changed.
Which is one of the reasons why I am going crazy with the 40K Job, which deals with road-building, which necessarily involves concrete (and lots of it). And on that note, I see that this could turn into a long post, and therefore, will cut it short here and get back to work.
