A slow start...

I was the on-call interpreter today, which gave me plenty of opportunity to catch up on missed sleep. (I rose at 4:30 am this morning, doubtless driven by jet lag.) I also managed to get called to do two relatively short translations.
Sunrise today was gloriously colorful, and the temperature this morning was -7°C (about 20°F), which I learned by popping outside for a brief moment or two dressed in jeans and a tee shirt to capture that reading. Earlier, I spent time in the exercise room doing what needed doing.
As usual, it's slow going getting my login information (I'm currently using an outdated password on a machine that will be updated tomorrow) and my dialup login as well.
It turns out that buying a Beeline SIM card was not as good a choice as buying an MTS SIM card would have been. As far as MTS is concerned, we here in Baikonur are merely in a "different" part of Moscow; Beeline has kicked in its roaming features for Kazakhstan. It's no big deal one way or another, in the final analysis.
I've got the morning duty tomorrow.
Cheers...
