Why my 5G iPod is indispensable...
Jan. 22nd, 2009 10:07 pmMy largest USB "thumb drive" is an 8 GB model, which is big enough for most tasks.
Over the years, though, I've bought several larger drives, ranging in size from 80 GB and up, and the one thing they all share is an insatiable thirst for power. Specifically, they either require carrying around a separate power supply or a USB cable setup that sucks juice from two laptop ports.
With my 5G iPod, all I need is the cable provided by Apple, and I'm good to go. All 60 GB. One USB port.
What more could one ask for?
Cheers...

Date: 2009-01-23 02:46 pm (UTC)Apropos of which, that was my major complaint with the 5G iPod: too much storage for a music player (it gets kinda ridiculous when your player can provide about 3 years of nonstop, nonrepeating tunes).
Purple? Eeeeee-e-e-e-w-w-w-w-w!

Date: 2009-01-24 12:22 am (UTC)How on earth did you manage to fit in 3 years of music onto a 5G drive?? My winamp says that I have about 32 days back to back...
Purple is royal and marvellous :-P
