A nice chunk of work came in today for Friday, but as the scope is eminently feasible for doing tomorrow, I decided to declare today a virtual weekend day, and Galina and I headed for Durango to see what we could see.

The extra tablets of nutrient for AeroGarden very likely were thrown out along with the box the unit came with, and apparently, one is expected to buy additional tablets online from the folks that sell the system. While in Durango, we stopped by the hydroponics shop, but they were reluctant to suggest anything other than the online source.

On the way home, we stopped at the Home Depot, where I found an interesting item that claims to allow you to grow tomatoes upside down. The getup is rather simple and straightforward, but my seedlings are still rather small and puny, so it might be a couple of weeks before I get around to using the contraption, which is basically a collapsible sleeve with a holder at the bottom (where a sponge holds the plant, roots-up) and a collar at the top, to allow suspension from a hook. The interior volume is intended to hold potting soil.

Cheers...
