A snowy Saturday...

When I got up this morning, the flakes were coming down in copious numbers, big and fat, as if someone had burst a huge feather pillow in the sky. Enough had stuck to require me to brush it from the car before venturing abroad, and by the time the car had been cleared, I looked like a snowman.
Later in the day, the ground warmed up enough to melt whatever had stuck, but it kept snowing steadily at our elevation, albeit with smaller flakes. With any luck, the high country got a few additional inches of snow, which is always good news.
Snow in April is not exactly unusual around here, but it feels unusual. I'm just glad I hadn't planted my tomato or cucumber plants outside yet.
I spent much of the day going through boxes of more stuff. It is apparent that I need to work myself up into one of those murderous "throw it out!" moods so as to cut down on the clutter (I mean, do I really need to keep the instructions for a game I once played on a Commodore 64?)
There have been nice finds, too. For example, I ran across a vintage Sheaffer fountain pen that I bought on eBay for my fledgling collection of such pens back in 2005. There was also a book of chess endings, part of an encyclopedia on chess.
Galina and I are invited to the kids' place tomorrow for Easter. I hope the weather cooperates.
Cheers...
