...and it's a glorious feeling!

The guy from the granite place stopped by today to lay out a template for our countertop, and I think this may actually work out, in the end.

In between everything else, I might have to come up to speed real quick on indexing Mobipocket files, at least if I'm to make good use of a certain BeBook. (Yes, as a venerable "early adopter," I figured the BeBook - with its built-in support for many formats and languages - was the way to go instead of the Kindle. Time will tell if I was right.) My initial impression of the BeBook is favorable.

Although I may have downloaded the selections before, I realized today that the library of Audible downloads on my HP was missing a significant chunk of downloads. This situation has been rectified, although it also made me aware of the fact that I've got a gawdawful lot of new audio to listen to. When to do that is a question for later.

I'm looking forward to your finished kitchen photos. O and I got really into choosing granite for our kitchen--you know, from the geology point of view. We wanted something with a lot of "movement." In the end, we backed off of that a little. From my perspective, as much as we liked the ones that looked like marble ripple ice cream, I realized that we typically have way too much clutter in our kitchen anyway without introducing something else to distract the eye. We got something called "Cream Flakes." We decided to rename it "Raspberry chocolate chip Tiramisu." Our new cabinets were natural maple. You should have seen the old ones: gag: a dark, scuffy walnut brown color that were completely worn down around the handles from years of someone else's fingernails. I will try to post a picture.
