Long day...

Mike took off back to Parker, promising to return at the end of the week to finish the floor. I took the opportunity, after sending off the items I had been working on over the weekend, to take Shiloh out into the woods, over by where Piedra Road crosses the Piedra River. I took along a bottle of water and some fishing gear, just in case.
It was a pretty stressful walk, for me. Shiloh pulled me in all the wrong directions (such as, downhill) and insisted on finding her way through, around, and under stuff that forced me to stop and untangle her lead. I did cast a lure into the river a few times, but I had no idea what I was doing, nor could I devote my full attention to it.
Galina arrived from Houston around 2 pm. Around 4:30 pm or so, we visited the kids for dinner.
A couple of hours ago, we started assembling the IKEA shelves Galina bought for my office. I am looking at the two units we assembled, and wonder why the sides aren't flush. Is my floor not even?
I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
In other news, I wonder: If I were to run for the LJ Board, would it be as a Russian-speaker or as an English-speaker?
Cheers...
