alexpgpI've got a new gig set up for Wednesday and Thursday, involving my undivided attention to perform translation from my aerie here in Colorado. Originally, the client had seriously considered flying me halfway across the country, but when it became clear my services would be needed for only two days (and that there was a possibility that the materials I am to work with may not be ready on time), well... the rest is easy to figure out.
I finished the second half of the job due tonight, and it's gone, along with a couple of diagrams that were added to the job this morning. The same client has dropped about 2,000 words in my lap, due tomorrow night, which ought to keep me off the streets for a few hours, at least.
I received a favorable response to my "experimental offer," and am expecting source text and a down payment at any moment.
And now, having devoted myself to my craft for the better part of the day, it's time to go and goof off a little. Maybe take the dog for a long walk.
