Having a Marine for a father, an officer in Vietnam, and one who has been known to buy anything being sold by any young Marine, I find the Uncle full of shit (as I'm sure this story points out). I don't believe there is such a thing as a Marine who would speak ill of any other Marine. I've watched my dad's back straighten in a way that grows his height two inches when he just sees a Semper Fi decal on the back of a truck window. And, in any other aspect of his life, you wouldn't even take him for ever having been military. That uncle was probably just a poser, who claimed to be involved in the corps, but was DOR or not qualified for basic, but still wants to pretend he can run with the big dogs. You know, the louder the bark, the smaller the... wait, no, wrong aphorism... well, if the shoe fits...
