A psychological boost...
Dec. 9th, 2009 07:08 pmI had planned to split the translation of the current document in half, leaving me about 4300 words for tomorrow, but decided to work 500 words past my self-imposed quota before calling it a day. Having 3800 words left to do for tomorrow feels a lot better than having 4300 words left to do, although if truth be told, 3800 words is no picnic, either.
Fortunately, the subject matter is pretty familiar (quality requirements), so I can translate for long stretches without having to refer to dictionaries. My primary tasks under such a circumstance are thus reduced to (a) grokking the source text and (b) saying the same thing in good engineering English.
Time for a change of pace.
Cheers...
