First (real) night home depression...
Feb. 2nd, 2010 08:20 pmLast night didn't count, as by the time I was finished digging out and doing a quick unload of the car into the garage, it was nearly 11 pm.
Getting used to the solitude takes more than a day, though, and even if I wasn't exactly a party animal down in Houston, I do find myself missing Galina. Of course, I'm not entirely alone. Micky has been commenting steadily on every aspect of the day's activities, Hana takes every opportunity she can to sit on any available part of me, and Shiloh is... Shiloh.
I've put the dish television on hiatus, and don't plan to resuscitate the service until the embargo runs out. That should give me plenty of time to read, when I'm not doing anything else.
In other news, the USPS web site, for some reason, no longer recognizes either my user name nor my password. This is going to make canceling the forwarding order on my mail rather difficult, I fear. I'll try another tack tomorrow.
Cheers...
