It occurs to me... this is post 6000!
Aug. 27th, 2010 07:29 pmI recall I did glance at the number of journal entries back on June 26, this journal's tenth birthday, and though it was coming up on 6,000, it was not within feasible striking distance at that time. A few minutes ago, I looked at my user profile again, and the count stood at 5,999, and I thought to myself Wow, you've finally got a chance to nail a big round number! So here we are.
What am I thinking?
Whoosh, but does time fly when you're having fun, or what?
I've never done a formal word count of the content of my LJ, but I know that somewhere in the mix there are about 50 posts of at least 1,000 words apiece I wrote for two seasons of LJ Idol, trying hard each week to keep the story along the lines of a memoir of sorts. There are also some fiction pieces that likely work if reader reaction is any gauge.
There are rants, and chess games, and recipes, and what have you. A little bit of everything, the way it happened. There have been a few private posts as well, on a variety of subjects.
One thing's for sure, it's a heck of a hodge-podge.
So, here's to another 6,000 posts!
Cheers...
