Better than I expected...

I still have only an approximate idea of how much work I'm looking at, since a significant number files in the the tsunami of work that landed into my inbox this morning are drawings in PDF format.
However, if I turn away from the mountain of stuff that's "to be done" and look at the hill of stuff that I managed to complete today, I can't complain (and won't). I finished despeckling a fairly large file, translated about 600 target words in three smaller files, then tapped out another target 1600 words in a report. Since dinner, I lucked out (with a patch of very clear source text) and managed to chop another 1400 source words from what's left of the long-term job due next week.
That does not mean I can sit on my laurels. By my estimate, I'm going to have to deal with an average of 10 files per day from today's incoming and about 1,000 words per day of the job due next week to get everything done in a timely manner.
A nice even strain, that's all that's needed!
Cheers...
