Bush's address...

Well, aside from the remark about giving law enforcement the tools it needs to do its job - a seemingly innocuous statement on its face - I would say that Mr. Bush, in what is probably the most important Presidential address in a couple of decades, said what had to be said very clearly and calmly, covering all the bases I could think of.

Somehow, though, I don't think the Taliban is going to accede to the demands made in the speech.

Can't say Bush didn't give 'em a chance, though.

I too was concerned about the law inforcement comment. Also pretty amazed he created another cabinent position. This is the strongest political speach delivered by a president since WW2. His language and intent were very straight forward, there was no beating around the bush that normally happens in presidential speaches. He basically told every terrorist country that hes going to make them his bitch. This is an amazing time in one respect, not since WW2 has anyone identified so closely with being an "american". Theres a real team spirit in the air, a unity. But i do think we have a problem if we bomb afghanistan there are musims all over the world including already in our country that will retaliate and im afraid we're too vulnerable. I'm not liking this vulnerability thing especially since im in DC!
