Dictionaries say the darndest things!

In looking up the stuffy term "информационного превосходства," I find that the Multitran database on my computer offers the following alternative meanings:

information advantage
information superiority
information supremacy

Now, if we assume that this trinity of English terms is patterned upon similar terms of military origin where "air" takes the place of "information," it becomes clear—especially to any groundpounder who has had to look to the sky for salvation in the practical, and not necessarily religious sense—that these terms are about as synonymous as the words "good," "better," and "best."

I'm not finding much to put my mind at rest in my remaining references (at least, the ones I've recovered from storage).

Ah, well... I'll just just make a note and carry on.
