Went down and around and around and down ’til we run outta ground at the edge of town. Bashed into the side of the feed store… in downtown Pagosa Springs.

Actually, I traveled through it several times on my way to the front range from Denver and points east. And at the time, before they put the heating under the road, you really did run the risk of sliding down that mountain and into the center of town.
