At least it seemed that way.

October invoices are done, which explains a lot of why today was such a long day. I had tried to debug/troubleshoot BambooInvoice, which does not handle multiple-page invoices well at all, and ended up having to redo a bunch of what had been repetitive entries to begin with.

It occurs to me that what I should aim to accomplish before the new year is to be able to automatically generate a schedule of completed documents using org-mode (because the information is already there), whereupon I would be able to draw up one-line invoices that reference said schedules. (Technically, I suppose I could skip BambooInvoice and simply generate whole invoices from org-mode, but then I'd have to implement aging and reporting functionality in org-mode. Then again... maybe it's already out there, who knows?)

Along the way, I've discovered that with my Fujitsu ScanSnap, it's easier to print, complete/sign, and scan certain items directly to PDF than it is to manipulate files in software. This adversely impacts my paperless work ethic, but at this point, it's a very small step backward, so I'm not going to sweat it.

Cheers...

My computer is somewhat on the fritz--the electrical connection is in need of repair-- so I am reduced to tapping things out on my smart phone. I find the whole process to be thoroughly tedious. It's slow and easy to make mistakes, and hard to deal with the small and different format. I got through a fair deal of the iversity material, but now I'm struggling to log back in and find my place again on the phone instead of my trusty computer. Just sharing my frustration!
