Galina and I went over to Natalie's place this morning after I took care of The Routine Stuff™, only to learn that the pressure washer that was supposed to be there wasn't, so I spent some time trimming some of the landscaping with an hedge trimmer, marveling at just how careful one has to be to use such an implement of (potential) destruction. I also helped remove ivy from places I didn't know ivy could grow (as in: through the interior of a drainpipe, onto a roof).
Upon our return, we stopped at the barbecue place down the street, where we took out a pound of ribs and a roast turkey lunch. I spent the afternoon working on more translations, surrounded by just the slightest soupçon of an aroma of barbecue sauce.
It was sheer torture, I tell you!
Tai chi this evening was most illuminating, although I fear I will forget most of what was explained to me. After I finish this post, I shall endeavor to do a "brain dump" and retain at least some of what I was exposed to this evening.
Cheers...
