So far, two of the financial institutions I do business with have sent me emails with "Apple Pay" in the subject line.

With neither the time nor the inclination to read the contents I've trashed both messages (as I have no interest in returning to the Apple fold), but I find the coordination of the messages interesting, as I don't recall any such previous messages from my banks about new products or services offered by a company like Apple.

That said, as I didn't read the emails, I guess I'm going out on a limb—but not too far, I'm sure—with my guess that they enthusiastically embrace the idea.

In other news, the weather was okay this morning until I finished mowing my self-assigned portion of the lawn. Then it started raining, and it really hasn't stopped since.

I think they embrace it because Apple says they will pick up the tab for any breaches or fraud - something like that.
