Tramp, tramp, tramp...
Oct. 26th, 2001 12:24 pmI've been pretty much staying on top of my to-do list, which makes me wonder why I drifted away from that mode of doing things. My primary suspicion is that I allowed myself to revert to a mode that I often found myself in during college and the immediate post-college years. This mode might best be described as "pedaling as fast as I can," and it really didn't matter in what direction, it seemed, as the task at hand was to get away from where I was, and get to where I was headed, as fast as possible.
"Where I was headed" did not exist as an explicit understanding between my ears. The general description of "where" involved, basically, a comfortable lifestyle, without ever having given any thought as to what "comfortable" meant. Did it mean money in the bank? A house? Travel?
But I am starting to lecture. Worse, I am probably starting to repeat myself.
Cheers...
