One of those painless days...
Dec. 16th, 2000 09:49 pmAbout the only downside to working today was the fact that it's Saturday. I got to work at 7:30 am to replace the folks that had been there all night. Me and Mark L. had arrived to take the reins and do simultaneous support for the air-to-ground traffic for the rest of the crew's day, until they went to sleep somewhere around 3:30 pm Central time.
It was, generally speaking, a pretty easy Saturday. The crew's schedule was fairly light, and the Moscow Mission Control Center spent most of the comm pass time sending up a taste of home in the form of rebroadcast radio programs. News, almost exclusively.
After work, Galina and I went to the local Hong Kong market, if for nothing else but to pick up their 2001 calendar. It's a really nice one, with great illustrations. I plan to take it to Colorado with me, because the only Asian cuisine to be had in those environs is served by folks who may have the right genes, but not the right skills or talent (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
Tomorrow, it's back to supporting the execute package. I should expect it will be somewhat intense, despite it being Sunday, since the crew work schedule for Monday will be the subject of interest tomorrow.
On other fronts, after a dinner of udon noodles, chinese eggplant, snap peas, and straw mushrooms, I settled down to try to (again) fix the color scheme of my "commercial" web site. In doing so, I screwed up my original HTML code so badly, that I had to junk my changes and go back and grab another copy of the original code. This is going to take some time, methinks.
Cheers...
