Don't look now...
Sep. 22nd, 2001 07:22 pmIt is always pleasant to see nature working at... whatever it is that nature works at.
Today, it was a humongous skunk that was on a Mission From God, oblivious to everyone and anyone (not really, though it did raise its tail a couple of times) as it skeddadled from point A to point B with All Due Haste.
I first saw the sleek, black-and-white creature as it crossed the street behind our shopping center, moving between a faux-Mexican restaurant and a bank, in a line that would eventually take it to New Mexico. I left it behind as I drove downtown to pick up today's mail.
Thus, I spent a third day (in a row) in the store. It was a s-l-o-w day, but that gave me some time to play with MySQL, but not enough to solve my problem. I picked up a copy of phpMyAdmin, which does a marvelous job of administering MySQL databases, and it helped a lot, though frankly I could not see exactly how. (Things started to work once I created the appropriate user, but then bogged down again.)
Single-malt Scotch is great. I know, as I have been sampling it in the course of cooking dinner (buckwheat and chicken). Drew has a differing opinion, proposing a lethal concoction of his own in response, which is actually pretty good. (I think I will need a head transplant in the morning, though.)
Good cheer to all.
Cheers...
