Will I ever get out of here?
Jan. 31st, 2002 11:08 amGot fairly well packed by the time Galina and I went to open the store this morning. (I better have everything, as I don't think the car is going to be able to make it up the driveway under present conditions.)
I reset the postal meter with another $5,000 of postage. I copied and sent the 1099s to contractors and Uncle Sugar. At the last moment, I remembered to do the monthly report that's due to UPS.
The reports on the snow are not encouraging, but they're not uniform, either. The fellow who plowed our driveway said it was supposed to dump two more feet today. The gal who delivers the WSJ to the store says it's going to stop snowing, but that it will remain cold and the roads are supposed to stay icy. (Whoopee.) The guy who scrapes the parking lot says the snow is supposed to move out today.
Anyway... driving today between here and Santa Fe may be the way it was when I went to take Lee to Albuquerque after Thanksgiving. I may not make much distance today, but then again, I think I'll take it easy in any event.
Cheers...
