Up and ready to be "at 'em"...

Lee, Dwayne, Travis (Dwayne's brother) and the truck were at the house when I got back from dinner yesterday. I'd gone to a place around the corner called "Central Texas B-B-Q" which I expected to be a raucous, loud joint (probably as a result of external appearance), but which turned out to be a quiet, family-oriented place that serves surprisingly good barbeque.

Once the truck was unloaded, the boys left. Lee took a shower, after which we went to Taco Bell to get something to eat for Lee. We talked a bit during the meal, and ended up retiring early, around 9 pm.

I got up about 40 minutes ago, wide awake and full of... adrenaline, I guess. I'll drink some tea with Lee, pile just a few more boxes into the van, and then take off, heading north. I may dawdle a bit near Dallas, depending on how things develop on the road.

I really miss the family in Colorado. I can't wait to get back. See y'all on the flip side...
