Just what I need...
Mar. 7th, 2002 07:23 am...though, in the final analysis, it's not a big deal.
Something must have happened to the configuration of Alice, the Linux box at the front of the store, because it will not talk to anything - not even Borg, the machine at the back of the store - even after adding the DSL router as a gateway by hand. (For some reason, linuxconf doesn't seem to want to assign the router's address to the default route.)
The LEDs on the router tell me that some kind of regular communication occurs when I issue a 'ping' from Alice.
At times like this, I feel like a complete idiot, but console myself with the knowledge that Borg can still talk to the world.
Cheers...
