All required items were checked and sent yesterday.

I have 10 pages due today. Two were done over the weekend.

One more page I did last night, and despite the fact it was not terribly technical, it took me (it seemed) forever. That's bad news, but the good news is that there are now only 7 pages left to do, and perhaps my slowness yesterday evening was the result of being overtired. We'll see...

I just got back a few minutes ago from the store, which Drew and I opened this morning while Galina went to Durango to pick up inventory. (I get the feeling I'd have opened the store anyway, but that's another story...)

To work!

Cheers...

It's nice to see the "similar interest" search come back. I recall trying it out way back when, with a much smaller crowd of LJers, but don't recall if the results meant anything to me then.

Placing my own humble self into the slot as the exemplar of what to look for in an LJer, the top four hits were:

  1. [livejournal.com profile] topher, with a weight of 24.948
  2. [livejournal.com profile] morlly, with a weight of 21.657
  3. [livejournal.com profile] sleepy, with a weight of 21.149
  4. [livejournal.com profile] developers with a weight of 20.257
(I love the five significant digits, don't you?)

Interestingly enough, [livejournal.com profile] morlly is already an LJ friend, albeit she posts rarely. On a whim, I tickled the profile page for [livejournal.com profile] topher and read:

I am an arrogant, opinionated, stubborn, overbearing, pretentious, incorrigible, shameless, smart assed bastard.
Hmmm. I only match this guy to the extent of 24.948? Heck, with a line like that, one'd think we were, perhaps, twins separated at birth!

I huffed, and I puffed, and finally finished the first draft of the geophysics article for client M. Earlier, in response to an RFH (request for handholding) call, I quickly reviewed and sent off the two pages done previously. I estimate I have about another hour or so left before I can send this one down the same path as its predecessor.

Client U called with 7,000 words for (this) Wednesday. I said no. Client S called from New Mexico with 16 pages for sometime next week. I said yes. (This reminds me of some lines from Cyrano, near the very, very end, but I digress...)

Music is what has been keeping me sane the past few days.

It is such a thin structure upon which to lean one's weight.

The item due tomorrow by 3 pm is fairly short. In fact, it's one page, followed by 4 pages of very lightweight figures. The only problem that may arise is if the client requires me to submit a "nice" set of drawings that look like they were originally drawn in English. My version of Word doesn't like these drawings at all, and sulks when I try to edit them.

I shall finish listening to Strauss' Till Eulenspeigels Lustige Streiche, and then go up to wind down and go to sleep.

Cheers...
