Numbers tell...
Jul. 2nd, 2002 10:57 amI took a look at the water meter on the way to the store this morning. In just over 12 hours, we used between 60 and 70 gallons. I suspect most of that use had to do with showers this morning. If there was a 30 gph leak on our line, I should have recorded about a 360 gallon difference.
Once at the store, I sat down to do the postal report and was stunned to see that we'd sold about 4-5 times more stamps yesterday than we do on a normal day. Another order went in the mail, after I found out the stock number for the firefighter semipostal. My contact at the Denver accountable papers office said our experience yesterday was typical in terms of sales on the first day after a rate increase.
It's just about 11 am, and I've got 12 pages of text left on the current project. I'm off to work!
Cheers...
