I slept in today, until 7:30. At about that time, the dogs started to fidget and generally engage in a canine chorus that says "Let us out now, if you know what's good for you!"

So I let them out. One at a time, natch.

I sat down to start translating at 8:30 and got a little more than 7 pages done by a little after 2 pm (1800 words or so). It was my first experience translating while conducting AIM chats. I did not feel particularly pressured one way or the other (the text I'm working on is another one of those dry, quality-related things), but my pre-submittal check will prove the pudding, one way or another.

Lee called around 11:15, and among other things, told me that Galina had left for Pagosa yesterday, at around 2:30 pm. We exchanged opinions as to when she'd pull into the driveway here; Lee opted for 3 pm, while I held out for 7 pm. In actuality, Galina almost split it evenly, showing up around 5:30.

We drove over to the kids' place and saw Huntur and the third quarter of some football game. :^)

A couple of minutes into the fourth quarter, we left. I was feeling okay, but I'm sure Galina was feeling a little tired from all those hours on the road today and yesterday.

It's going to be an interesting week, but I'll worry about that tomorrow. Right now, I'm going to do a quick tour of my daily reads on the Web, and then go upstairs and see if Galina is amenable to a foot rub. Then it's off to sleep, making sure to turn on the oxygen machine prior to Galina's falling asleep, as the machine has a wake-the-dead alarm that sounds upon activating the unit.

Cheers...
