It's getting to the point where I don't need to set my alarm any more. Between my "internal" alarm clock and Ming, I'm always sure to be up before 7 am.

The store routine went well this morning. Shannon and Huntur were at the store, and I took Huntur to the neighboring City Market to get some morning goodies (which I must stop consuming, lest I start to gain weight again).

Galina called her sister, Alla, in Moscow to wish her a happy birthday, and I got my turn at the phone afterward. Things are going fairly nominally, says Alla, who then launched into an interrogation of the state of my health. Even Drew got into the act, making use of the several phrases that he's picked up by osmosis to wish Alla a happy birthday.

Of course, her birthday is a week from today (but that will give us an excuse to call again, soon). :^)

I got to speak with Lee, too (or was that yesterday?). No, it was today, since Galina asked me to cut short my conversation with Lee so she could call her sister.

Then, to round things out, my mother called. She's been out of the hospital for several days and feeling feisty (as demonstrated by the level of advice she was dishing out). Someday, when things are slow, I shall write a post on her view of the world, and how it differs from mine.

All in all, it would appear that today was an Alexander Graham Bell kind of day, at least until I started chasing paper again after napping in the afternoon.

Cheers...
