And now, harder...
Apr. 9th, 2003 07:26 pmI almost cracked a window with an expletive when Word threw an exception and changed all of my fonts to a sad mixture of WingDings and Greek letters. I exited the program without saving the file (all the translations are saved in the TRADOS knowledge base).
When I tried to open the file again, I was informed that I could not open the file while Word was saving it.
Farblegarg!
Anyway, after rebooting my machine, the silly fonts went away and I finished the document.
I am going to take a rest tonight. If I type one more line of "specification-ese," I think I will dismember something.
Slowly.
Cheers...

A translation machine...
Apr. 9th, 2003 09:34 pmA Houston client called earlier in the day to offer a five-page document with a due date of COB tomorrow. I figured I would be able to sqeeze it in as a change of pace while reviewing the 30,000 word monster I just finished.
So, I started on it a little while ago to get a feel for what the document was about (it wasn't the usual subject), and surfaced again four-and-a-half pages into the text, which was pretty straightforward.
So now, I have two documents to review tomorrow.
When it rains, man... it pours!
