Departure's eve...
May. 16th, 2003 09:09 pmThe last 20 pages of the project I was working on today went relatively slowly, although considering I did just over 15,000 words in two days and an evening, I've no cause to complain. I had hoped to leave myself with Sunday free (or at least, having only a review to do), but about 6 pages from the end, I got a call from a Houston client to do 2500 source words by Tuesday.
Of course, I said yes. After all, it's not as if it's going to take all day.
I got my work authorizations by e-mail today, and my assignment has changed somewhat. I don't mind the changes so much (now I'm doing a series of simulations), it's the fact that such gigs often do not run their entire length, and that's typically not a full day of work to begin with.
No worries, though... simulations are good work and can be challenging.
* * * I've just finished printing the job I finished today, and I need to make sure I have the files that were sent to me today for Tuesday. Then I'll need to get up at the usual time tomorrow and spend a couple of hours getting ready to go.
In the meantime, I think I'll go upstairs and spend some time with Galina.
Cheers...
