The pendulum swings...
Jun. 22nd, 2003 12:14 pmWe apparently have an engagement in about 45 minutes, so this must be quick.
I spent a little time this morning scratching the itch that invariably occurs when I tackle a new Dirk Pitt novel. At a little after 9 am, I sat down to continue yesterday's translation. The goal for the day was to do about 2500 words, which would put me back on track to finish what's on my plate by tomorrow night.
In one of those inexplicable turns that are not uncommon in this profession, I ran into a section that was absurdly rich in tables, with the result that not only did I finish my self-assigned quota, but I am a few hundred words ahead of myself.
This is good, considering I also accepted a document for translation by Wednesday, and it sure would be nice to get started on it tomorrow.
I've got to go get ready for our engagement. The only major thing left to do today, workwise, is to review the item due tomorrow morning.
Cheers...
