Foundering in a sea of sleep...
Jul. 24th, 2003 09:09 pmI just woke up a few minutes ago, but don't recall really going to bed, though I suppose it's not as bad as it might first appear.
I did get up this morning, after a night during which Lily moderated, but did not abate, her caterwauling, took my shower, got dressed, and got to work in a reasonable fashion.
Today's assignment was another sim, wherein I played the role of Loop 18 interpreter (the one who works between the flight director - or the RIO - and the Russian shift flight director). Everything went swimmingly.
I stopped by the Hong Kong Market on the way home to re-victualize, and had a light dinner. Somehow, in all the excitement, I lay down for a bit on my bed, and the next thing I know... it's a few minutes ago and I'm awakening from a rather late nap.
Tomorrow's assignment is another sim, wherein I'll be doing the simultaneous air-to-ground work, which will be fine practice for Saturday's assignment: a daytime stint at the real air-to-ground position, but only for one day. Sunday will, effectively, be a day off as I slam shift my sleep cycle for a week of (roughly) midnight-to-eight-am shifts in the Moscow Support Room.
Into every life, a little sleeplessness must fall, dontcha know.
* * * Natalie is still not home. I knew she has math four nights a week, but I'm wondering if Tuesdays and Thursdays are wing chun nights?
Cheers...
