...and here I find myself at nearly half past the hour, still up to my neck in work.
Normally, that's a good thing, but we leave the day after tomorrow, so.... I don't know. It is, after all, a fairly late hour.
We brought Huntur home from the store in the afternoon and Galina and I took turns keeping her busy. We started with Lady and the Tramp upstairs and eventually got to the point where we were in my office downstairs, and I was opening the small pile of "unopenable" pistachios for her (you know, the ones with little or no crack in the shell) with my folding combination wrench and screwdriver. It turns out Huntur likes pistachios.
The edit job I'm doing is taking longer than I expected, owing primarily to less-than-optimal translation. Then, too, I got a call to do a couple of pages that blossomed into nearly a 2,000-word assignment, but that was really a welcome respite from pages and pages of mind-numbing process sheets.
Hopefully, I'll be able to find some convenient stopping point tomorrow, which will allow me to get ready for the trip. I've been advised now that not only will this assignment be a certification run for me, but that I've an appointment to take a flight controller's physical sometime during my stay in Houston.
I can't wait. :^)
Cheers...
