A lovely lull...
Dec. 18th, 2003 07:35 pmThe assignment I was beefing about earlier in the week went out through the wire at 10:45 am. And barely an hour later, or so, I had finished my travel reimbursement paperwork and all invoices to date, for a grand total of 16 pages, which were then faxed to the client.
Sometimes, it seems accountants simply hate trees, given the amount of paperwork that's demanded to document one's invoice.
On the other hand, those 16 pages do amount to one sweet payday (and we're not talking candy bars, either! :^).
* * * So, around 3:00 in the afternoon, I decided to go for a walk. I didn't really want to walk to the store, but I ended up doing so anyway, which turned out to be a good thing, as I was just in time to help process a small mountain of last-minute packages.
I was seriously thinking of walking back home, but with the disappearance of the sun from the heavens and the need to drag along some groceries, I allowed my discretion to overpower my general lack of common sense, and called Galina to come pick me up.
I am going to try to make the ham breakfast tomorrow morning. I haven't been there for a dog's age, and it'll be good to see some familiar faces.
Cheers...
