So for the past week or so, flakes have been few and far between falling from the sky. Even that night when the weather dweebs predicted 8 inches, we maybe got one-eighth of an inch when all the whooping was over.

This morning, I awoke at 5:30 am with the intent of setting off for Texas. There was snow on the car, none on the concrete slab the car was on, and only limited visibility of what passes for "city lights" around here.

As of a few minutes ago, the snow is pretty steady, visibility sucks, and The Weather Channel seems to indicate there's more of the same on the way. I'm going to check a couple of Web sites, but I'm intending to get on the road in about 12 minutes.

I've done this before, just not in such a lightweight car. Ah, well...

See y'all from the other end of the road.

Cheers...
