I got a call from the office today. How would I like to come in early tomorrow, around 10:30 in the morning, and stand in for a fella who's got a dentist's appointment?
Sure.
Then came a second call. How would I like to come in early on Thursday and Friday, say around 9 am, to do some non-NASA aerospace work?
Sure, I said, but my heart was not in it.
On the other hand, it's not as if I'm down here on vacation, or anything.
As evidence, I submit the fact that I started working this morning shortly after 7 am and finished the rework assigned last week with a little time to spare, and even was able to do an aerospace assignment sent yesterday during the day.
I forgot the VAIO floppy drive in Pagosa, which is a bummer. There are still too many machines out there with such drives, and most of the machines in the MCC won't let you plug in a JumpDrive just like that (which probably makes sense), not to mention the fact that the USB ports on the machines around here are oriented in an position only a Dell intern could love.
It has been a long day, and I'm not home yet.
Cheers...
