On the go...
May. 7th, 2004 08:07 amI am at a loss to understand why the travel agent (who is supposed to know about such thing) booked me at a hotel near Victoria Station when today's flight is out of the same place I landed yesterday (Heathrow)... which I will double-check in a second!
The evening was nice. I had a couple of Guinness and sampled an ale named "Old Speckled Hen" (nice, but I woubldn't make a habit of it... it tasted like warm cider, mostly). Dinner was fish and chips at a place called The High Admiral (run by Brazilians, FWIW). My hotel, the Melita House, appears to be run by Czechs, FWTW.
But I must really run. It's going to be a long day. The Aeroflot flight leaves Heathrow at 11:55 am and gets into Sheremetevo around 6 pm. If I am to be at the airport 2 hours before flight time, then... well... I'm late, but I'm not sure that's a requirement (the BA inflight magazine says one hour, which doesn't sound right, but hey...).
In any event, I'm outahere! See y'all in Moscow!
