The celebration continues...
Jun. 19th, 2004 07:44 amLast night, the interpreters had a little get-together -- call it a handover -- during which liberal quantities of food and drink were consumed. Round about 10 pm, I was outside, wondering whether the trip planned to the Luna club in town by the Astrium folks was really going to go off.
A couple of days ago (plus or minus... it's hard to recall), John P. asked if any of the interpreters would be willing to go into town last night, since the people who normally get stuck with this duty -- the office staff -- had a lot of things to do. I volunteered, and so did Olga, who had never been to the place.
So just about the time I'm thinking whether the trip is on, the bus pulls up. A minute or so later, I'm on board, together with Olga and the Astrium folks.
We got back at 4:15 am. It is now 7:42 am, I feel like..., well, like I need a few more hours sleep. In any event, we're supposed to be on the bus for the airport at 8 am. If all goes well, we're wheels up for Moscow at 10:30 am.
Cheers...
