Doctor day!

I struck out for Durango in the Civic (which has been in Drew's hands for some time, while he works on fixing it for me), and after a few hundred feet of spewing whitish smoke out the exhaust while accelerating, the rest of the trip went fine. The day's tempo was quite slow. I did all the medical stuff, agreeing in one case to come back for a procedure in a couple of weeks and having a chunk of my back excised in the other. In between, I ate at a relatively new Mongolian Bar-B-Q place, stopped by the Office Depot to pick up goodies for the store and my office, and made a side trip to the Wal-Mart to pick up some salmon for Galina.
I had intended to spend any waiting time writing long-overdue correspondence, but never was still long enough to do that.
We shall return to our previously scheduled life tomorrow.
