Royal fun! (Not!)
Aug. 16th, 2004 07:33 amI just spent 30 minutes browsing the Royal web site and speaking with sales and tech support. The only definitive information I obtained is that the bar code reader is on back order until the end of the month; that, from sales.
In response to my query about software for the register, tech support vectored me to a site I'd been to, but after scouring it I found no additional information of any use there. Tech support then gave me a number for... another tech support department, I think.
BTW, here's an example of the gyrations one must go through to make a department taxable:
Gotta get to the store.
Cheers...

BTW, here's an example of the gyrations one must go through to make a department taxable:
Using the gray numeric keys press (00001), press [SUBTOTAL/W/TAX], enter the (PRICE)*, press a [DEPARTMENT] key, enter a Department Description using the alpha keyboard (Department Keys) or the Alpha Numeric Code Chart if needed, then press [CHECK]**. Repeat this step for each department you wish to tax. Then press the [AMT TEND/TOTAL] key.In principle, the same kind of instructions accompany almost every department related operation. Think about doing that for up to 99 departments. Ugh!
Gotta get to the store.
Cheers...
