Taking a break...
Sep. 18th, 2004 10:19 amI am 10% of the way through the material due Monday.
FWIW, I should probably note that the reason my desktop stopped talking to my router apparently lay in the network cable, which got moved around some the night before I left on this latest Houston trip. When I swapped out the cable this past Thursday, the problem went away. As someone who's been doing this kind of thing -- pushing electrons through wires -- for a while, it's still hard for me to remember to check the simple hardware kinds of things before starting to muck about with software settings.
I have been uncharacteristically lethargic the past couple of days. I don't know whether it's just my nature, or the result of fatigue from the long drive, or something to do with becoming reacclimatized to the altitude here in Pagosa (a half-mile higher than Denver!), but I've been a right and true lazybones these past couple of days.
Of course, that approach will be taking a curtain call and exiting stage right, pronto.
Having said that, it's time to go back to work!
Cheers...
