<grumble>OH-DARK-THIRTY</grumble>
Oct. 27th, 2004 04:14 amOne of my dad's less endearing characteristics is his approach to appointments of any kind.
If one has to be at an airport at 2 pm, he'll want to get there a little earlier... say, around 10 am. If the doctor wants to see you at noon and the office is 15 minutes away, my dad will leave at 11. This kind of thing.
Yeah, I'm probably exaggerating. It's early. Gimme a break.
I have to admit, I have probably picked up this trait, although I tend to be more of the "get there on time" kind of fanatic, as opposed to your "get there in plenty of time" variety.
Anyway, my being up at this hour is entirely my own doing. Well... sort of.
I woke up with that feeling that I wasn't going to be able to go to sleep again easily, and with the knowledge that (a) I have a big document to check [so, what are you doing hanging out on LJ?] and (b) I'll be roused in a little bit by the old man to get ready for the day, anyway.
So, I'm off to continue with some document-checking (I've actually been at it for a while).
Cheers...
