Two days (and two wakeups)...
Nov. 1st, 2004 06:21 pmOne of the challenges associated with getting a head of steam up around here is the fact that nobody really starts to stir until after 9 am, and I am loathe to upset that balance.
I went for a drive in the morning, the main result of which was to get some gas somewhere around Garden City. Afterward, I drove the Northern State Parkway in toward the city to Glen Head and then cut north, toward Northern Boulevard (aka, Route 25A), and then west, back toward Glen Cove Road.
By tradition, my say in what is on the television in the evening around here is minimal. On the other hand, as I don't watch much television, there is some kind of equilibrium there.
In other news, I tried to break out some old photographs to tweak memories in my mom earlier today, to no avail. However, I must note that an objective assessment of photographs of my mother taken back in the day shows that my mom was clearly a looker in her youth (and please spare me the Oedipal cracks). Now the question remains: How do I preserve the content/meaning/significance of such photos?
Cheers...
