One of those in-between days...
Nov. 21st, 2004 04:35 pmIn between a normal and night-work schedule, that is, which basically means you can't get anything meaningful accomplished, no matter how you slice things.
Then again, I managed to sleep in this morning as well, but was awakened finally by some thunder in the distance. Then I lazed around until about 2 pm, at which time Galina and I went back to Sam's Club to exchange a pair of trousers bought during yesterday's spree (I have to assume the lack of fitting rooms results in a lot of returns). In the middle of the proceedings (Sam's had very few trousers of this type in my size), I get a call from my client asking if I'm available for a right-now translation, about 1000 words, to be made available in about an hour.
You betchum, I reply. We conclude the exchange and skedaddle home, in time to eat something vaguely Mexican for late lunch.
To make a short story even shorter, the item is done and gone, just in time for me to address the question: "Should I eat now and try to get some shuteye for a few hours, or should I try to sleep first and get up in time to eat and get outa here?"
I think I will follow the second path to enlightenment (that's a pun, folks).
Cheers...
