I had my suspicions that the business at the store was fairly moderate these last weeks, given the season, and I was right. Today, however, as if responding to some kind of imperative of nature, the locals jammed the store and stood in line very nearly out the door in order to send packages. Galina called me this morning just as I was about to start on the document due Friday and asked me to come in; Drew called while I was getting ready, asking me to come in, too. I got the message.

I went in.

I just got back a few minutes ago, and I. Am. Utterly. Tired.

Fortunately, I think I can play hooky from translating today and still make the Friday deadline with room to spare. Still, there are (glorious) invoices to write and send, though doubtless I will take my time and savor the process.

Cheers...
